Editor's Note: There are surprisingly few resorts, hotels,
inns, on the beach, on the Ventura, Santa Barbara coast.
Many motels in Santa Barbara have on the beach sounding names,
but are blocks from the beach. Other Santa Barbara hotels are
across a busy street from the beach. A real beach hotel is the

stayed there. It is as close as you can get to a Hawaiian
beach experience here in California.
